Vintage Mini Journal Flip Through

My aunt gifted me this old leather bound album of photos.  The binding was broken and there was some minor damage to the photo mats but I could help but feel these unknown people had stories that we will never hear.  I wanted to give them a better resting place, give them a name and identity.

To do this I purchased vintage calling cards and a box of used vintage floral postcards on eBay.   Using Tim Holtz Idea-ology COLLECTOR Ephemera Layers I wrote their stories.
I gave this young woman the name Mary.  I see her as an inspiring actress, spending her weekly wages on theater tickets. The blue bachelor buttons post card was one of my favorites.

When I saw this photo I was immediately reminded of Alice from the TV show The Brady Bunch.  I saw her as a traveler, sending postcards home from all the far and exotic places she visited.

This young man aspires to be a chemist, attending school so he can take a position in his father's Apothecary.

These beautiful stories all came together in this mini journal:

Please enjoy this flip through.

I gifted this beautiful journal to my aunt who gave me the photos.  I had to include this photo of my assistant Allistair who "helped" with the gluing and ribbon cutting.
