What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday

Here's my creative mess. Taken in the midst of creating several thank you cards. Still pursuing my goals for 2017, working on my layering, incorporating my photographs in my art and creating more RAK's.  The photograph for the second card is setting to the left of all that ribbon. The wooden letters are left from a journal spread, waiting to be cleaned and put away (a job I despise and will continue putting off).  The heat tool is pointing to an envie I made from my underpaper.

Here is a close up of the card & envie:

Using that painty underpaper for wrapping mail!

A dirty little secret that doesn't show up in my desk shots....
basket of odds and ends of scrap paper and ribbon.  Overflowing and needs to be cleaned out. Not sure what to make with it as collage just isn't my thing.  Do you have one of these?  What do you do with it all?

Joining up with What’s onYour Workdesk? Wednesday where desk snooping is not only allowed but all part of the fun!

In the Spirit of RED

Creating a handmade postcard as a RAK.

Creating a “sea of red” using Distress Paints in candid apple, barn door, and fired brick with a touch of Craftsmart metallic red.
6 x 8 watercolor paper
Using torn strips of decorative tape as a layering technique around a quote from the Seize the Day desk calendar.

A linen stamped background, embossing, and glitter glue create texture.

Happy Mail!

What "happy mail" are you creating this month?  If you're not, think about creating one of these postcards the next time you art journal.  Use what you have out and send someone a little piece of your art while making their day.

Creating these small pieces of art as a means of working on my goals to share my art and do more RAK's in 2017.
