WOYWW: First day of Christmas break!

My desk has seen a rapid turn over of projects this week.  One day it is covered in Christmas reds,

Early Saturday morning painting session I call Get up. Get dressed. Paint.
then in paint,

Allistair hoping I will walk away so he can play with all that ribbon.
then with all sorts of blue ephemera, paper and ribbon for my Winter Blues art journal.

My lack of focus is mainly due to stress but happily today is the first day of Christmas break!  With the constant barrage of fear mongering gone, I hope to find some organization and inspiration to begin the new year.

  6. I'm a bit scatty as well, jumping from one project to the other. But there's so much inspiration out there - sometimes I don't know where to begin. Lovely page in your texture journal. Allistair must be very well-behaved not to play with the ribbons while you're there. But I can tell he's got his eyes on them! Merry Christmas Diane! Enjoy your Holidays! zsuzsa #38

  15. Thanks for the visit, and sharing your lovely photos. Love that moon! Cats..they don't miss a trick and love to investigate. I surprised myself with being ahead of the game with prep work for the next 3 days for all my company coming. Good feeling and the weather is to be nice for travel. Have a wonderful Christmas

  16. I'm running behind, but that's what I've done for the past two weeks. Thanks for visiting me earlier. I simply adore your art, and Bleubeard gives two paws up to Alistair. I hope you have a merry, safe Christmas, filled with good health, happiness, and love. Happy WOYWW and happy holidays from Bleubeard, Squiggles, and #2 (that's me).

  17. I hate that you're stressed. I love the change of colour at your desk, I don't see a lack of focus; rather the changes in desk couture suggest a discipline in being creative! Have a very happy Christmas!

Like the White Rabbit in Alice I am "Late" - only just getting around to commenting and it is almost time for another week to begin. Sorry, but Christmas got in the way.
Thanks for all the wonderful pictures, especially the Winter Solstice one and the one with Alistair on it - he is cute!
    All the best for 2016
