What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 264

Dining room table: turning chaos into an organized binder
I decided to let you in on a dirty little secret; I've been sticking my received swaps in a drawer instead of organizing them in a binder.

Full Swap-bot junk journal

When my Swab-bot Junk Journal became too full, I started organizing a binder but never finished.  After I rated each swap I was piling them on my desk then stashed them in a drawer.  I decided that once school got out I was going to get them organized and STAY ORGANIZED!

Chaos organized into an already bulging binder
You can view the binder HERE.  I plan to add photo as series swap pages become full.

To get this done on time, I have been completing one page, front and back, each morning.

 Swapping

ATC: Black & White with touch of PURPLE
I joined another series swap, Black & White with a Touch of _________.  This is a challenge for me as I have not practiced creating Zentangles which would lend itself well for this swap.  Because I like to create ATC’s with texture and depth, I experimented using drywall tape and pastes.  For the one on the right I used model paste.  After it dried I sprayed it with Dylusions black ink and Perfect Pearls in pewter. I used Silks acrylic glaze in boysenberry for the touch of purple.  This is the one my partner got.  For the one on the left I used Ferro Special Effect Paste.  Looking at it now, I wish I had used a stencil with a larger design.  I opted to not send my partner this one as it still needs something, just not sure what.  Any suggestions?

  9. Your folder looks great! I'm all sorted out for ATCs. They in any multiple folders! But I need to organise some other sort for ATCs and the cards that came with them. And WOYWW is important enough to be organised separately :)
    Thanks for dropping by earlier,

  11. Looks like you are going to be one busy lady, Diane! Enjoy!!
Thanks for visiting and for your comments. Glad you like the sunrise!! it was worth getting up for, just to be down on the beach almost on my own at that time of day was great. Actually, crocheting the blankets together isn't too hard - unless the squares are not quite!!!
    Take care.

  12. I stopped by to see if your latest SOC entry was up, and imagine my surprise to see you were playing in WOYWW. Color me shameful. Of course, I'm not playing this week and I didn't play last week. I have SO many things on my plate, I simply must take time to accomplish them. You know, like mow the yard, edge, trim, cut unwanted growth in the garden, clean house, dust, mop, do laundry, etc, things I haven't done because I spend all my time on the computer.

Speaking of projects, it looks like YOU have lots going on, too. Very impressive art. An that reminds me, I must get my 5th year WOYWW anniversary ATCs in a binder. Thanks for the gentle reminder.

I was glad you mentioned about the white flowers. I try to get everything, including my fabric, in white. Then I can color it, spritz it, paint it, whatever. I also try to buy white lace, buttons, and ribbon so I can match whatever color I'm using at the time. Needless to say, I'm rather color driven (grin). Thanks for your kind comment on my SOC post this week, too.
