Creating ATC's for WOYWW Anniversary |
Celebrating 5 (!!!!) years; that’s 260 Wednesdays of peeking
in on other’s creative spaces! I'd like to say that I have been around that long when actually I am gearing up for my own 1st anniversary for this blog July 7th.
Here is
my work desk covered with ATC’s in progress for this week’s swap. I had a hard time coming up with a design
then worried if some would prefer the Flower Flourish I had been creating for
other swaps. Admittedly, I am a people
pleaser and I wasn't sure if it was expected that I would stick to the flowers
so I made about 10 of each.
My other projects:
I like the idea of scrapbooking but for the most part, don’t
like the look of most of the pages I see.
I wanted to learn how to incorporating paint and texture to my pages
rather than using die cuts. I stumbled up Get Artsy: Applying mixed
media techniques to scrapbook pages over at Big Pictures. This is my page for week 1: Using gesso
The process was to gesso the page, color the background
using Gelatos then rub in the color.
Ghosting the background was done by laying down a stencil then using a
baby wipe to wipe away the color.
Email me if you would like to trade ATC’s. *Let me know in your email if you prefer the
butterfly or the flower: dianebakerwilliams@gmail.com

Sorry, having to do a second comment cos Blogger hates iPads. Just wanted to say that your bright vivid colours make me want to be a little more bold with colour. And I love the way you label your photo. I may have to try that too!

ReplyDeleteHello Diane. Thanks for visiting, and so sorry it is taking me so long this week top get around folk! John is very dependent on me for pretty much everything at the moment - so spare time is...well, fairly nil! Lovely ATCs on your desk - and I love the vibrancy on that scrapbook page. Fantastic effort. Well done.
