Working in my own journals

On my work desk is a quote journal for a journal swap.  I have been using the quotes from the Seize the Day desk calendar.

I discovered this  Fiskars Fingertip Craft Knife which I love.  It helps with the intricate detail cutting I often do when creating ATC's or when working in journals.  It can cut rounded corners with ease.

I stated last week that I wanted to make time to work in my own journals. Committed, I spent time over the weekend catching up on Journl52.
For week 9 the assignment was to select a few colors to work with.  To help decide which colors, we were to choose something to use as color inspiration and use those colors to create a page in our journal.  I love this quote and based my page on its red, yellow and green combination.
 Week 9 Color Swatch Inspiration
For week 10 the assignment was to think about a cause we are passionate about and create a page about it in our journal.
Week 10 Create for a Cause
Week 12 the assignment was to take inspiration from stars or the night sky. I chose the Northern Lights.  I used Luminarte Silks Acrylic Glaze to give the page a luminescent look.
 Week 11 Stars
I used the full moon photos I had taken to create this Photo Scrapbook Page for March. The theme was spring.  Having no bulbs in bloom I used the Full Worm Moon.  I was worried about the recipient not liking the dark colors but she was thrilled with the page.

This is the quote journal shown on my work desk in the first photo.
