A Valentine’s Day ephemera explosion! Creating tags this weekend. Painting, cutting, and gluing in pink and red is not my usual preference but I found myself in the mood as of late to have some creative fun to celebrate the holiday. The pink rose ribbon is newly purchased for 50% off. I love the texture it adds and it matches perfectly with Dylusions bubble gum pink paint. The plastic bag is full of Sari ribbon which I am newly addicted to. I found THIS great seller on Etsy. She has every color imaginable. The Spirals art box? That is for a wonderful project I found on Pinterest. I am giddy with excitement and looking forward to sewing and painting on it this weekend.

I like those tags a lot!! The corrugated card gives and interesting texture set off by the little flowers. They're fab!

These are wonderful, Diane! Love the tag within the tag idea! I must say I'm almost boycotting anything "seasonal" and I can't even explain why! I think it's a form of rebellion on my part against some perceived obligation. At the same time, I suspect I might be missing out on some seasonal inspiration! ReplyDeletethe 2 sets of tags are both so different but so nice, the red very vibrant and energetic, the pink more romantic. Vicky#18
ReplyDeleteThose tags are gorgeous - I love the pink and red roses on the ribbon, what a great idea. Thanks for the link to the Sari silk Etsy shop - I love the stuff and you can't have too many colours in my opinion!! Thanks so much for the visit to mine, I hope you have a great week,

Oooh, gorgeous Valentine tags, Diane! I particularly love the "tag within a tag" ones - what a cool idea! Thank you for your visit and your nice comment, and I'm glad you like what I've been up to lately. I'm afraid I'm really behind with catching up with all my blog comments, because I've been mega busy, and only just managed to complete my hubby's Valentine card in time - working on an art journal page too, using the same materials and techniques, both of which are now on my blog.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated WOYWW,

Sooo cool those heart tags, Diane, well done just great combinations there. :D
ReplyDeleteMy two sisters and I spent the morning on the beach today under two umbrellas in three beach chairs, a girls' day together, and yes, we had the whole beach to ourselves when we walked down.
Temperature was perfect ...
Very blessed indeed, and very grateful. It only happens about once a year, that we can all make it.
Took some pickies this afternoon on my walk so will share one day on my blog :) thanks for popping over, would love to send you some sunshine.
