What’s on Your Workdesk? Wednesday

I continue to work on purging, decluttering, and organizing my stuff.
This is my dining room table covered with sorted stacks of magazine photos.  I admit to being somewhat of a magazine addict. While I enjoy reading them, clipping and saving the beautiful pictures is what I love about them.  Admittedly, my collection far exceeds what I could ever use.  I was able to pare down my collection by 2/3!  I made 7 more envelopes to give away.

Yesterday my work space was invaded by cats.  First, Kiri came to visit.  I just finished adding modeling paste to the journal so I had to hurry and remove it before paw prints became part of the page.

Then Allistair joined in and and the two decided where I was working was the perfect place to nap!  I was forced to move down to the other end of the work desk.

I had 15 minutes of no cats then Kiri moved down to join me and chew on my pens. Sigh...

Betcha wanna know what that bottle of Titebond II glue is doing on my work desk...
Adding cork tiles to create an inspiration board.

The A to Z Rolo series is near completion.  I have 2 makeup rounds then I will have a complete set.
I chose Zinna for my partner's rolo.  Using my Oxford Illustrated Dictionary has been helpful with this series as well as being a botany teacher.

  4. How cute are the furbabies : ). Love the projects you are working on. Kudos on your decluttering work.

To answer to your question about storing the unmounted stamps, after I put tacky glue (and it dries) on the back of the stamps, I stamp them on white cardstock, and then slide it in a smooth page protector. The stamps go right on the page protector and into a binder : ).

  5. Hi Diana, and thanks for the visit. ooow talking about magazine - yikes I have lots of them too, so had to 'pass' them on but I really am binning lots as we thin out to move home. I did have an idea and started removing fav pages from my Notebook mags, they have lovely flower pics and I am turning them into postcards as I have a postcard embossing folder. link to my post http://waterlilycardsbyrobyn.blogspot.com.au/2015/06/friday-smiles_26.html
Love your idea with the cork tiles - might be something I can use when I set up back home. Cheers and enjoy your week RobynO#11

  7. Thanks for visiting me yesterday. I've enjoyed my visit to your space today. You're doing a great job with the destashing but I think you have maybe taken too much time doing it and your cats are trying to tell you to stop :-) :-)
    Have a great week.

  8. Major cat invasion lol lol!!! I recognise a true cat person in you, Diane - after all, you can't possibly MOVE the cats, can you... You just have to work somewhere else! Lol! What beautiful cats you have. Gorgeous altered cards too, and I love the new inspiration board.

Thanks for your lovely comment. You are very wise - "do what you can with what you have" would be good advice for anyone, but esp. for someone on chemo! Everybody is longing to know what my Funny Stuff is. Princess Judy says its definitely not cat-proof and she's right there lol!!

    Happy belated WOYWW,
