Last week found me grading final exams, computing final grades
and packing up my classroom. By Friday
evening I was exhausted. I used the weekend to regain my bearings, relax, and simply
create some art just for myself. You can see I don't have a lot of room to create on. Just after taking this I reached for the white paint and yep, Allistair was laying on top of it! I had to call the hubby to come pick him up so I could wash off the paint. Allistair was not happy with either of us.
I want to thank all of you who exchanged ATC's with me. Because last week was so hectic I just couldn't get a photo taken of them.
I love the vast array of methods used to create these inspiring little pieces of art.
I have them organized:
WOYWW 6 |
WOYWW 5 |
My summer project is to get all my ATC's from the past 2 years hanging here. The clips are expensive so I am experimenting with other means of getting them hung.
Again many thanks to all of you for your encouraging comments over the last school year. You have no idea what they have meant to me. Blogging, sharing my art, vising your desks and seeing your creativity have been a lifeline for me and I want you to know I deeply appreciate you all.
Joining up with What’s

part of the fun!
Oh no Alistair was literally on the paint!! Oh dear. Love how you have your WOYWW ATCS displayed - I have an idea for mine but haven't had time to start it. Have a happy creative break and of course Happy WOYWW Cindy #36
ReplyDeleteThat is the best way I've ever seen to display your ATCs! Enjoy your summer break. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #43
ReplyDeleteLove those ATC's what a great way to display them. Your kitty looks comfortable. Peg 50
ReplyDeleteOhh dear poor cat! I guess a wash might put him off? Those ATC's look great displayed like that - mine are in one of my sons old football card collection books. Happy WOYWW Soojay 10# Oh enjoy the holidays - we have four more weeks till we break up .
ReplyDeletewell, if you will leave paint where he wants to lay down... poor Allistair. Love how you've displayed your atcs!! Helen 2
ReplyDeleteI can't understand why you didn't get an ATC from me, because I sent enough for everyone at the crop and to send to those who were not present. Now I feel bad. Probably not as bad as poor Allistair, though. That is why mine are NOT allowed in my craft room. Kitty fur and paint don't make good mixed media (grin). Happy WOYWW from # 5.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Alistair was fancying a different coloured coat! Have a great week and a happy woyww, Angela xXx 26
ReplyDeleteI love the way you store and expose your ATCs... I keep them in fabric pouches but I'm thinking about a file with plastic pockets, so you can flip through... Thanks for your visit to my blog earlier and yes, I wrote a guestpost tutorial about making these folded booklets on Julie Balzer's blog last january.. you can find it here: http://balzerdesigns.typepad.com/balzer_designs/2015/01/guest-post-stenciled-folded-booklet-with-marit.html Happy woyww and a hug from Holland, Marit #38

Hello! A white-painted cat, eh? Well, what are a few paint splashes between friends? (Yes, I know, a big mess...)
ReplyDeleteYou certainly have some beautiful ATCs in your collection. It is wonderful, how everyone does it differently, but all are lovely!
As for displaying them, that is a great display method; I wonder if book rings would help you, although they are much larger than your clips. If you don't mind silvery clips, rather than the bronze ones, Ikea sell very similar little clips, in their curtain department - and you may also find them in Dunelm Mill, or even a diy shop. I suppose you could even paint them, or put glitter on them!
Anyway, I'm late this week, so Happy Thursday!

What a clever way of displaying the ATCs! I really like that, you can flick through and revisit them so easily :-)
