Making a bit of a mess this week. Under the deli paper is a prototype of the ACT for the WOYWW 6th anniversary. I already made 16 ATC's but after completing them felt they may be too simple for the exchange. Feeling doubtful (and somewhat intimidated by what was created last year) I started playing around with a mixed media one. The fluff of white is remnants of wedding veil material I bought on a garage sale a while back. I like mixing it in with burlap for texture. The 2 small glass viles are grunge embossing powder. The flower I made with the white is sitting on the magazine.
Allistair decided the veil material looked like an excellent place to nap.
What I created this week:
|
Letter W Rolo: W is for Winter (front) |
|
(back) |
|
Traveling Journal p. 1 |
|
Traveling Journal p. 2 |
This journal was rather difficult to work in because of the paper, the size, and the pages were back to back rather than a spread type layout.

Pocket Letter: About Me (front) |
|
(back) |
I actually had this done a couple of weeks ago. This is my first pocket letter. Am not addicted to these as some swappers are and they do take a while to put together depending on the theme. Covering the backside is not a requirement but being the left-brained perfectionist that I am I like the finished look. Also, I have been coloring at night or during the day on Sunday's to combat work stress so this gives me something to do with the completed coloring page. I use Prismacolor markers (here) or watercolor pencils with an H2O brush. I will be featuring this for May's addition of Stop Pinning & Make Something! link party. I hope
you will comeback Friday and join in. I
will be giving away a pocket letter this month.

Oh, please don't be put off by the ATCs...there are simple ones and complicated ones and all of them are wonderful. Mine's just a painted bit of water colour paper this time!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love that brightly coloured feather...so beautiful :-)

DeletePlease don't doubt your work.... the huge diversity on woyww is what makes a weekly peek so enjoyable. I love how many different styles we capture on a wednesday. What you have on your desk already looks wonderful. Enjoy your week.
