Return to "normalcy"

My desk in the throws of 3 projects, all at various stages of drying.  The black ATC's were freshly painted with crackle paint.  When dried, modeling paste and the stencil will be used to create M for mosaic for a series swap.  The Dylusions ink spray was clogged when I went to spray it so I had to soak the sprayer in hot water before completing the journal page (don't you just hate it when that happens!).  The 2 ATC's sitting by the coffee mug just had modeling paste pushed through a different stencil.  This is what they looked like when I got them done:

Vacation

I was absent last week for good reason, I was here:

The hubby, the boy, myself and my parents flew out to Las Vegas to see my oldest son and tour the Grand Canyon.  If you have never been this is a MUST for your bucket list!  One can't help but be awe-inspired by how magnificent this place is and how small all one's woes quickly become.  The first day it rained on and off (thus the jackets).  The rain quickly became a blessing as we watched the clouds roll over the canyon walls.
There were times when we were standing in the midst of the clouds.

It was a great trip but glad to be back in the comforts of home.  School starts the 31st and I'm already feeling the stress and anxiety of returning to the classroom.

So I apologize if you left a comment and I was unable to comment back.  Now you see why.

Joining up with What’s onYour Workdesk? Wednesday where desk snooping is not only allowed but all part of the fun!  Won’t you join us!

  1. Hi Diane, I must admit, the Grand Canyon is indeed on our bucket list, and you pics are awesome. A tip I came across on a Journalling video re the sprays- when you've finished with it, turn upside down and spray until it stops, like you would with an aerosol can. That apparently clears the pipe and nozzle and prevents any clogging. Not tried it, but it sounds reasonable.Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #5 xxx

  4. Yes, the Grand Canyon was on my parents' bucket list and my sister and I gave them a trip to Canyon lands for their 50th wedding anniversary. And we cam with them! That was too good an opportunity to miss. I loved it! We went on a Tauck tour. Fascinating! Would do it again tomorrow!
I'm glad you had a good time with the family. Thanks for posting the photos. They are truly stunning!

  6. What great photos, Diane! The Grand Canyon is certainly somewhere I'd love to visit one day... I love your projects and the fabulous scrunchy texture on those ATCs is simply delicious!!

Thanks for your very encouraging and lovely comment. I'm having another bad chemo day today - definitely worse this time which is a bore. Only 3 more to go, thank goodness. So glad you like the lace fragments stamps. I think they will be very useful. I haven't had them long. The Harlequin Fragments set is even nicer imo! I love Choc Baroque stamps.

    Happy belated WOYWW,
