What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 6th Anniversary Edition

Celebrating Julia Dunnit’s  6th anniversary hosting this wonderful weekly link party.
In celebration, it’s a card explosion!  My messy work desk is piled high with cards in anticipation of today.  Admittedly, I ordinarily do not create cards, I leave that to the professional deskers of this link party.  But I wanted to create something a little special for this stupendous occasion.

But first, the ATC's.
Earlier this month it looked like this: embossing powder blown everywhere after layers and layers of ultra-thick stuff creating these:

Water colored cracked glass ATC’s in pink, violet, and orange.
The idea to create some cards came at the last minute.
The dining room table became my second desk. My least favorite part was hand cutting these flourishes after embossing them.
I am pretty excited with how they turned out.  I wanted to incorporate my love for photography with my art.

I have 13 left, ready to mail so leave a comment below then email me with your snail mail address (at the top under Contact Me).

Happy Anniversary to Julia all you wonderful deskers!

Joining up with What’s on YourWorkdesk?Wednesday where desk snooping is not only allowed but all part of the fun!

  11. I really love the look of your ATCs. They are beautiful, as are the new cards you made. I was super impressed with the photography you added as another layer to these cards, too.

Happy, happy 6th WOYWW anniversary from #1.

  12. Wow...that is a lot of fussy cutting Diane, how like you to need just that flourish! Love the ATCs and the generosity of time in the cards too; isn't it funy how we are all intimidated by others skills...I think you're way more professional a crafter than my paper and ink playing will ever be!

  15. Gorgeous art work, love the ATCs and the cards. You mentioned in your visit to mine that you had never heard of a Bonsai garden. Although I cannot take you there this is the most idyllic place to visit, Greenwood Gardens near Nottingham UK. http://www.bonsai.co.uk/Location.html
Have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 37

  16. Hi Diane,
Your cards look fabulous! I love the embossing powder effect, but I sure don't like the mess it makes :) Even though I work amidst continual mess, embossing powder makes an entirely different sort of mess :)
I have emailed you my postal address and I will get your ATC in the mail in the next couple of days :)

  24. Just FAB. I did similar, made my ATCs trying yo incorporate the things I think I am "known" for, hence the madness of all that box folding :) Love the cracked glass effect. An technique that is due a comeback, I think. It really makes the flowers pop.

    Happy belated 6th-anniversary WOYWW!
