WOYWW?? Wednesday:

My desk is rather neat today.  After all the sorting, purging, and reorganizing of this space over the last 2 weeks I did a HUGE cleanup.  This of course was because company was expected for Where Bloggers Create 2015.  Go HERE to get a peek of my space. In the center of desk is the latest journal page, the tree book is an altered book I am putting together, Trees and Truths, and there is my favorite magazine Somerset Studio's Art journaling.  If you have never picked up this publication at the very least skim through it at the book store. Very inspiring.

I don't have a title for this journal as of yet but this is the 6th page.  I am testing driving a different style of art journaling, incorporating sewing and texture, muted colors of distress paint, and old photos (mostly replicas).

Swapping

I promised a peak at the completed ATC carousel.  I ran out of room and am left with at least 2 dozen ATC's with no home.

Summertime Chunky tag.  Not real happy with how this turned out but it has already been sent on its journey to the Netherlands. I can only hope that my partner likes it.

Thoughts & Prayers

Eliza...a dear blogging friend to the WOYWW family.  As with most blogging friends, Eliza and I never met but we shared a fierce love of our feline companions.  Upon first visiting her blog and getting a glimpse of Yoda I thought his name fitted him perfectly.  Our comments to each other always involved sharing their latest antics.  Today I think about him knowing that he too greatly misses her and worries what will become of him now that she is gone.  People forget that animals also go through grieving just like we do.  So to Eliza's family, her dear friends and her loving feline companion Yoda, I pray for you during this time of great loss.  I wish I could offer more...

With a heavy heart I'm joining up with What’s onYour Workdesk? Wednesday where desk snooping is not only allowed but all part of the fun!

  1. It's wonderful that so many people are sharing their memories of Eliza today....she was such a fun person, so caring and loving. I really wish I'd had the chance to meet her in real life but think that we got to know each other well through WOYWW. I just can't believe that she's gone.....
I like the page you've done with the vintage photo. It works really well :-)

  3. Hi Diane, what a lovely tribute to Eliza, and as you say, poor Yoda must be desolate at the loss of his companion. Love your artwork, and I'm off to find that magazine online. We don't have it over here, and I'm just thinking about dipping my toes into Art Journalling. Been collecting myself some basic supplies, and watching You Tube videos. That ATC carousel is a smashing idea. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #13 xxx
