A Focused Journey: Finding a focus on the other side of 50.

I believe everyone’s life has a purpose. We are here to discover that purpose then use whatever gifts were bestowed upon us to make this world a better place. Some of us are fortunate as we know at an early age what that purpose is. Others, well, we go along, often digressing from the road that will take us there. This is me. Now on the other side of 50, I am finding my way back to that road that will lead to my life’s purpose. Welcome to my journey.

Finding the Full Pink Moon

I awoke in the early morning hours to find the Full Pink Moon illuminating the sky.

According to the Farmer's Almanac, it is call the pink moon because it “heralds the appearance of the moss pink, or wild ground phlox—one of the first spring flowers. It is also known as the Sprouting Grass Moon, the Egg Moon, and the Fish Moon.”

The almanac also advised that "the period from the full Moon through the last quarter (April 11) of the Moon is the best time for killing weeds, thinning, pruning, mowing, cutting timber, and planting below-ground crops." I guess this means I will be working out in the yard next week, even if the predicted snow comes. Sigh...

A couple of my favorite things! The full moon and phlox - phlox reminds me of my great grandmother's house where phlox covered the hills. Gorgeous stuff.

I used to do a full-moon dream board each full moon. I haven't done that in awhile. Perhaps tomorrow I'll get back to that.

Beautiful photos! I create a full moon dreamboard that helps me focus on the coming month. Fun to do.

what you had to do, and began,
though the voices around you
